High up in the hills just north of Aix-en-Provence, away from the heat of the coast, you’ll find a set of ancient stone gates. Beyond them lies the Maison Saint Aix estate. With mineral rich soils, 300 days of sun a year and the cooling Mistral winds, Provence offers the ideal growing conditions for Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes, the classic blend used to make Provencal wine. At 420m above sea level, AIX is also one of the highest. That elevation gives the berries a higher level of acidity that translates into a brighter, crisper wine. AIX is a well-balanced premium Provence rosé with a typical hypnotizing salmon pink color. The nose is fresh and fragrant, delicate yet youthful with sophisticated notes of fresh red fruits, peach, and subtle flower hints. It offers roundness on the palate and a beautiful aromatic depth, before finding freshness and some minerality in its long and precise finish.
