The Bisol Estate is one of the oldest in the Valdobbiadene area, one of the two best Prosecco districts in Veneto. Records show the Bisol family involved in grape growing and wine production as far back as 1542, but the current winery was founded in 1858 by Eliseo Bisol, who was well known for his distillery. Desiderio (affectionately called “Jeio”) was Eliseo's son. Quality has continued to be driving force over the generations. In the last 30 years the Bisol brothers have succedeed in achieving a balance between tradition and modern technology. Because of the very steep hillsides, this is a difficult area to cultivate. Prosecco is made from the Glera grape. Bisol's Jeio is the entry-level bottling. It shows lovely notes of lemon, almond, biscotti, and chalk. Bisol also makes five “Cru” cuvées from the most distinguished vineyards. We carry the Crede.
