The vineyards of Volpaia are located between 1000 and 1750 feet altitude, some of the highest in the Chianti zone. The slightly cooler temperature here leads to wines of exceptional elegance and freshness. The winery operates within the walls of the Castello di Volpaia, a fortified village of medieval origin.
