The Amoreau family, owners of this and the Le Puy estate, have been winegrowers in this area since 1610! It seems to us they are intimately familiar with their vineyard! The vineyard that comprises the Duc des Nauves wine neighbors the Le Puy vines, though a bit lower on the same plateau. This is same plateau St. Emilion and Pomerol is located. The farming and winemaking are certified bio. The components to the wine favor Merlot, followed by lesser parts Cab Franc and lastly Cab Sauvignon. Velvety, palate coating, rich, dark and deep while maintaining a marvelous balance. Plum, dark cherry and spice mark the flavors.
