For years, Domaine Fournier has grown Pinot Noir on the slopes of Sancerre. With the addition of these vines in Touraine, they continue to hone their skills growing this delicate grape. While it exhibits the earthiness one would expect, this bottling is surprisingly full of fruit. The vines are 15 years old, planted in clay soils. Macerated For 3 days before 12 days of fermentation. The wine is elegant and round with notes of black currant, raspberry and spice. It is bright and juicy. A perfect pairing with grilled steak or pork.
