Dried strawberry, raspberry, dusty violet and roses, and light herbs. Langhe Nebbiolo is made in an earlier-drinking style than Barbaresco and Barolo- a "Baby Barolo" considered the pinot noir of the Piedmont. Direct, elegant, expressive and delicious, the grapes are harvested from the same vineyards that create the winery's flagship Barolo. Fermented in concrete tanks and aged in oak botti for several months. The Rosso family has been growing and selling their Serralunga grapes since the late 19th century, then Giovanni Rosso decided to start producing his own wines in the 1990s. His Burgundy-trained son took over the vineyard in 2001 and it's reputation has only continued to rise.
