True to its name (a play on the word Umami), the nose on this Pinot is meaty and earthy with notes of teriyaki mushroom jerky, smoke, and a hint of red berries. The palate shows a different side – light bodied with nice acidity and low tannins, the flavors are light and bright, with fresh red berries, blossom, gentle earth, and supple leather leading to a long finish. A very interesting expression!
