Shop > Moutard Grand Cuvee Blanc De Noirs Brut Champagne

Grape growers since the 17th century and bottlers of their own Champagne since 1927, the Moutard family is one of the oldest in the entire region. They farm in and around the village of Buxeuil (“books OY”) in the Côte des Bar (or Aube) which is Champagne’s most southerly region. Particularly known for Pinot Noir, the Cote des Bar is slightly warmer than the rest of Champagne and is actually closer to Burgundy than it is to the city of Reims. The Grande Cuvée bottling is 100% Pinot Noir fermented in stainless steel and aged for 3 years on the lees before disgorgement with a dosage of 10 grams/liter. It has lovely red fruit and floral aromas with some pie crust notes and a creamy mousse. Consistently praised for its excellent value among Champagnes, the Moutard Grand Cuvee is a crowd pleaser and would make anyone happy with a cheese plate, or a bag of potato chips!
