We hereby declare that Vinho Verde season has arrived! If you're unfamiliar with the concept: Vinho Verde (literally "green wine" or "young wine") is a low-ish alcohol, slightly spritzy white wine that refreshes and delights. There are many available and while most are enjoyable (if not exciting), we think Raza, a vegan friendly blend of the local varieties Arinto, Azal and Trajadura; is a near perfect warm weather treat. Fine petulance excites the tongue; lively lime invigorates the palate; saline minerality awakens the mind; and a crisp clean finish (drier than most in the category) cleanses the senses. Sound good?
