Tenuta San Pietro lies in the town of Tassarolo, along Piedmont's hilly southern stretches and just a short distrance from the Ligurian coast. With 35 hectares under vine, most of it planted to Cortese di Gavi, the estate benefits from its high altitude vineyards, cooling winds from the nearby Ligurian Sea and top notch exposures that produce excellent white wines that are at once savory, full and fresh. All the vineyards of Tenuta San Pietro are certified organic and cultivated according to the criteria of biodynamic agriculture. Organic, refined and subtle, this is a beautiful white from the hills of southern Piedmont. When grown on thin limestone soils like this, the Cortese grape can really sing. Here we have lime and green plum, tarragon and lindenflower.
