Shop > Sautereau Sancerre

Sautereau Sancerre is intense and lively with a good varietal profile leading to notes of boxwood, rhubarb, melon, and fruity aromas of pear and mango. Supple in the first instance, the vine shows good volume in the middle of the mouth with fruity and floral accents. The aromatics of mirabelle plum linger long. Enjoy with salads, goat cheese, oysters, smoked salmon, and other seafood dishes. Jean-Jacques and André Sautereau are the eleventh generation of vignerons operating Domaine Sautereau. Today the Domaine Sautereau is comprised of 15 hectares, two thirds under sauvignon in the communes of Crézancy and Bué producing sancerre blanc. The other third is pinot noir in the communes of Crézancy, Bué and Sancerre, and makes sancerre rouge and rose. (from the vintner)
